Welcome arrow Self Harm - Sufferers

What is Self-Harm?

A sufferer is someone who struggles with issues around self-harm and who endures the loneliness and isolation that this brings.

One of the difficulties with self-harm is admitting that you have a problem and also to find the courage to seek help.

It is essential that you find help as soon as possible; this will help enable you to overcome the illness much quicker.

Some fears about seeking help:-

  • What if the person I go to does not understand?

  • What will happen if I go for help?

  • Will I be allowed to make my own decisions about what help I need?

  • What if I get help and feel this is not for me, how can I get out?
